Civil Electrical Systems

Over the years, there has been a great evolution in the systematology of building electrical systems; just think that only 40 years ago the cables that carried electric current were an integral part of the wall plaster. In fact, when the mason plastered the walls, he embedded in the wall a small cable called "piattina". This cable was enough to light 3 or 4 bulbs and serve a few sockets here and there, provided the load was small. The cross-section of this piattina was 1 square millimeter, which means about 8 Amps.

Given the frequent fires caused by loads exceeding the cable's capacity, they began to insert metal pipes with a tar core and then thread rigid insulated copper single-core cables through them. Fires decreased, but deaths from electrocution increased, and the poor installer electrician took three times as long to thread the cables of a system in an apartment due to the low malleability of the rigid wires.

Finally, with Law 46/90 of March 5, 1990, the electrical system changed: pipes and flexible cables in multiple sections, suitable to meet the load requirements requested by the customer, accommodating new appliances (air conditioning; electric stoves; electric water heaters; etc.). They also introduced the obligation of grounding for all new constructions and the installation of the "SALVAVITA" differential switch even for older systems. The law only required the adaptation of the differential switch, neglecting the fact that without grounding it does not work.

In the years to come, systems have further evolved up to the present day, offering us ever more safety, comfort, aesthetics, and even media integration. Today, an electrical system is designed for safety and energy savings; in fact, a home automation system allows us to manage our home in the best way, saving money on energy. In addition, the law allows us to deduct 65% of the expenses for a home automation electrical system.

Cascasi Energy builds home automation electrical systems for every need. Call us or come visit us to design the system for your new home; you will find highly qualified people able to advise you to meet your every need.
